I actually think you learn a lot of social skills through sports activities. I do karate. In my opinion, there are many social skills this activity can help develop: you can learn to be confident, compete fairly, communicate and interact. Practicing sport allows you to make cultural exchanges with students from other countries. I think the more sports opportunities you get the better it is.

The project portal provides a lot of valuable information on the promotion of sport at school. It shows a variety of great initiatives taken to promote physical activity, which can be used by other teachers and head teachers. Moreover, it equips teachers with some practical ideas in the form of a how-to-do-it manual. The case studies encourage students to take up sport, as they prove that it’s possible to successfully balance school and sport. What is more, the project portal is well-designed, with information in various languages, so it can be useful for teachers and students from lots of countries.

The project Not Only Fair Play promotes sports at school, but the idea is not to evaluate each student on the same level, but to evaluate them on what they can do individually. The project and its activities aim at promoting physical well-being. Its inclusive approach is interesting because everyone is involved. The initiatives are inspirational and the success stories show that sports can be a way to succeed.

I have been impressed by the case studies; they can be useful tools enabling teachers to motivate students only interested in sport to improve their school performance, helping students balance their school career with their passion for sport. This tool also helps teachers integrate sport and healthy lifestyle approaches into their students’ educational pathways by using sport as a means to acquire transversal skills. These cases support the idea that sport impacts personal developmnet a lot: by helping students with concentration and staying focused; developing skills related to self-development: time mangement, self-discipline, teaching students responsibility and increasing their self-esteem.

I found the materials useful, accessible and easy to follow. It is excellent that we have all the materials in one place and we don’t have to waste time searching the internet. The first tool which comes to my mind is How to Promote Less Popular Sports. For instance the chapter Sports and physical activities in a medical context gives us a lot of tips on and samples of therapeutic activities, which can be used with a view to preventing or as a treatment for health problems. Such materials provide inspiration for PE teachers, who can include activities aimed at specific groups of students in their classes.

The strong point of the project is publication of a big number of various good practices, which allows getting to know the initiatives undertaken in different European countries, aiming at promotion of sport. The toolkits provide users in very useful knowledge on the role of sport as a integrating factor of a school society as well as highlight the significant role of pro-health education in schools.

The online toolkit gives useful information on curricular and extracurricular sport activities. It also aims at raising awareness about the benefits that sport and, especially, less popular physical activities have in our life. The toolkit encourages a very positive perception of sport as an essential ingredient in everybody’s healthy lifestyle. It can become an essential resource for health physical education teachers. Based on the latest findings, it provides guidance on how students can improve their health through physical activity. It provides physical education teachers with strategies and methods meant to enhance students’ motivation to do sports. It supports the idea that the collaboration among all teachers, coaches and parents is the best solution to integrate sport and healthy lifestyle approaches into students’ educational pathways. Physical activity channels students’ natural energy while teaching them valuable life skills such as determination, perseverance, self-confidence, courage and teamwork. Sports should be associated with education and a youth sporting culture is likely to lead to a healthy, active lifestyle.

First of all, it is very well developed information on what actions are carried out under the project. Following reports of events supported by individual partners, we can successfully get inspiration and implement similar tasks, activities, projects in our own activities. The packages - educational tools distributed under the project are very useful. In particular, examples of good practice that can be used when we are planning our own activities. They allow us to use a variety of methods to promote an active lifestyle, as well as to popularize the sport disciplines less known, less practiced. The published materials help us to apply innovative approaches, teaching methods and to integrate physical education with other subjects. While observing the practice in my school, I can say that thanks to the use of methods proposed in the packages the number of physical education activities has increased (e.g. dancing and playing jerk have been included).

Sport, as a mean of enhancing inclusion in schools, is a very important topic nowadays. I liked the examples of how to make students move also during the classes. Also the methods of how to promote learning outcomes with the help of moving and sport were interesting (useful for example for the teachers of mathematics), examples of practices that are easy to out in practice even in classrooms. It is a very important topic!

I found a lot of interesting materials at the project website. By the way, the website has been made very clear and easy to navigate. From my point of view, “Best Practices"" section seems very useful. There are plenty of ideas, that, after minor adjustments, I could use in my teacher work. Also the information included in the toolkits looks to me very interesting. I particularly paid attention to the toolkit entitled ""How to Motivate Students Only Interested in Sport School to Improve Their Performances"" which mentions about finding a balance between the sporting career and the rest of life and about putting the sport activity to appropriate place in student’s life.

Considerable attention is drawn to the issues related to the ethical approach to sport, fair play, an ethical behaviour of fans. It is also important to raise awareness of the youth on active forms of leisure and the importance of physical activity to keep health. A set of educational packages developed in the project is a valuable teaching aid, providing less traditional, innovative vision of physical education. It supports school directors, teachers, students and their families, popularizes a healthy lifestyle and promotes physical activity not only at school.

A very interesting project website both in terms of visual and essential content. The stories of students successfully combining school education with a sport passion are extremely inspiring. I am glad that a lot of attention has been devoted to children with disabilities. I believe that the results of this project will contribute significantly to the popularization of physical activity in the lives of our children.

There are similarities with other ongoing projects that promote wellbeing and healthy life style in Finland, which means that the topic is really important. One of the biggest challenges seems to be how to motivate the teachers to work more on it and how to help them integrate healthy lifestyle and wellbeing into vocational subjects.

Promoting the practice of sports during higher studies is a good idea because it often meets with students’ interests, symbols of performance and of surpassing oneself. Sharing those symbols on a website is a way to reinforce the impact. Promoting sporting exchanges on the European level, thanks to the NOFP portal but also thanks to meetings with different countries is even more essential because for students who love surpassing and challenging themselves, they can live their passion together, share moments of joy with other young people from different countries, yet from the same European culture.

I appreciate the Not Only Fair Play project from the position of a teacher methodological adviser of OKUN. In my opinion teachers of all the school subjects can benefit from the didactic materials and tools. Next school year I intend to use the project materials during trainings for PE teachers and class teachers. I have found the toolkit named “How to motivate students only interested in sport to improve their school performances” especially useful for that purpose.

The project and the portal are a way to approach the question of sport from a different perspective. They provide feedbacks that highlight the importance of sport practice in school curricula. The best practices and initiatives offered by the portal truly are an inspiration for the educational project of any kind of school.

In my opinion, the points of strength of the NOFP project are: creation of international network of schools which implement the project; Involvement of many school groups: teachers, directors, students; popularization of many sport disciplines; joining academics and sport with promotion of fair play attitude; sharing knowledge in the field of best practices; organization of sport events.

I personally found the project very interesting. The project and the portal draw attention to a different consideration of sport and physical activity, which are often neglected in schools. The Project is interesting and offers to the teachers resources to involve students in sport activities, with a complete view about sport and education in European countries. In the Portal I found very useful information and experiences, and the section of Toolkits can be useful for all operators taking care about life style and health at school. It is also really interesting to read experiences and best practices in other countries of Europe, to compare also human resources and educational paths. I think that project like this are an important way of promotion of sport activities at school, and they really can motivate students to reach a good level of consciousness as citizens.

The topic of the project is very important – increasing of students’ physical activity that supports their physical development and contributes to improvement of the traits, like endurance, self-discipline and cooperation in peer group. Besides, children’s enthusiasm to sport can be conveyed to the families that may influence positively on their relationships. The project shows that physical activity is not a nasty duty but pleasure, the element of healthy lifestyle. It improves the well-being, fitness and health. Thus, a modern healthy eating pyramid at the basis includes physical activity. The project provides teaching tools that are very useful in work of PE teacher, school director and teachers of every subject. I participated in the sport event organized in the framework of the project - it was great fun. The students familiarized with new games e.g. American football; they had also the possibility to play with students of other schools participating in the project. Such actions promote equal opportunities of students of various intellectual and physical abilities.

I highly appreciate students’ case studies. They offer plenty of good examples to follow for our students. Such examples speak volumes about what strategies to use and how to manage your time; they are very convincing. They present real cases with students who have managed to balance sport and school. Our students find it difficult to cope with this and most of them abandon sport or get very poor marks at school. Some of the students seem to have calculated their steps very carefully and sensibly, showing a lot of maturity when thinking about their future.

I think that the NOFP portal and project meet the needs of schools in terms of physical education in schools, specifically addressing issues of more ethics in sport and using sport as to influence behaviorial changes in young people. I thought that the practices from the partner countries are very close to some of the practices I encountered in Bulgaria. I like the portal since its very easy to use also in the national language and I think the site is helpful for us opening our eyes to see different educational cultures, even if the subject matter is physical education and we generally think sport is the same everywhere.

I have found all the materials useful but I particularly appreciate “How to Promote Less Popular Sports”. There are two chapters there which are useful for teachers: Cooperation with other subject teachers and Communication with parent. We all know how important it is to have good relationships with parents and your colleagues for the benefit of our students. The chapters offer tips and guidelines on how to involve parents in PE activities. They also support the integration of PE activities into various subject areas: languages, arts, geography, history, math, science and social studies. They encourage teachers to work together.

In Turkey sports is not as important as the other activities at schools. As an owner of Private Onur Schools, our thematic area is not only academic success but also sports activities. We believe that sports play an important role in students’ life, they can socialize themselves by sports activities. Not Only Fair Play project is a good example to help schools to motivate teachers, parents by the help of the toolkits presented on project portal.

I would say that social values learnt while playing sports or Physical Education classes give positive results when it comes to learning other school subjects. When using cooperative learning methods, students can benefit from a range of transferable skills acquired during sports such as positive interdependence and appropriate use of interpersonal skills. It is important to make students aware of the social values the school wants to convey in order to endow the students with life skills.

This portal shows that it is possible to reconcile studies and sport. It gives a good vision of the youths and of the practice of sport. Education needs to be taken as a whole. This could also be done for Music, for example. The sharing of experiences is a way for the schools to: find inspiration for their own educational projects and promote sport and culture thanks to European sporting events. The students are responsible for their future physical health, but this project is a way to comfort them in their objectives in terms of health, lifestyles, performance and success.

I think that the portal of the project contains information, which can be valuable for many interested parties in school – for me as a director, for the physcial education teachers as well as for the other teachers. I lke that every target group is addressed specifically as materials available (toolkits). I think the database of good practices is very well organized. I specifically would like to point out that the design of the portal is very attractive and easy to use, which I think is a major factor for its usability from teachers and students.

In my opinion the materials available on the project portal, addressed to school principals are very useful in the light of new trends in Polish education, promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyle. The project website is a treasury of substantive and methodological knowledge for teachers and students. The published up-dated events (sports initiatives, festivals, didactic materials, etc.) stimulate the readiness and the need for continuous training, the search for interesting forms of teaching, making better contact with students. The toolkits published by the partners provide the opportunity to exchange professional experiences, find new possibilities for the implementation of tasks, learning new sports, expanding contacts with other schools involved in the project.

As a teacher in biology and health education I find the project very important. From the resources on the project portal I paid specific attention to the case studies and the toolkit promoting sport and healthy lifestyle. I think that the materials on the portal could be of help of any teacher who wants to educate the students not only on specific subject, but also teach them life skills and attitude towards their own health and taking responsibility. Sport is an activity that teaches students a lot and I think there should be more cross curricular activities in schools between sport and other subjects.

NOFP Project portal supports eight different European languages, it makes the website usable to the ones who cannot speak English. Portal is really easy to use and we can manage different activities. Especially it gives a lot of information to promote sport activities at school. The two toolkits “How to Motivate Students Who Are Not Usually Involved In Physical Education Activities“ and “Sport as a Mean of Social Inclusion, Including Communication Strategies with Parents” dedicated to PE teachers are good references for us, I could find opportunity to use the references from the toolkits and they helped me so much during the school activities. I hope they will be helpful for many teachers, too.

My Physical Education teacher explained me the meaning of the “Not Only Fair Play"" project. I think that through sport you can appreciate the importance of social skills such as interact with students from other countries, communicate and respect the rules. It is very important to develop a project like this one in order to spread the culture of an ""inclusive society"" and make people talk about ""inclusion"" and ""social skills"". Using sport as a context for learning helps reveal the relevance of the subject for young people. There is a natural interest in sport & physical activity in young people – harnessing this level of interest can support the teaching and learning that takes place in the classroom and provide a more relevant and enjoyable learning environment.

The Sport Event in Romania came as an illustration of inclusive education: wide range of students coming from various types of schools (mainstream, special, urban, rural) getting involved in sport games and enjoying every minute of their time spent together. The event covered multifaceted aspects: doing sport, getting involved in and activity, making decisions, being part of a team, socialising, having fun, making friends, supporting teams, learning how to win and lose… and the list can go on! The event has a number of strong points: the bridge and collaboration opportunities between lovers of sports from schools, universities, clubs and special schools, individuals, students and educators; an event dedicated to the city and its educational activities; intergenerational and inclusive; celebrating a healthy life style; bringing together educators from all subject areas; creating a spirit of participation, mutual respect and collaboration

Not Only Fair Play project has been a very interesting and enjoyable project, that raised very easily the interest of teachers and students. It was a contagious project, because many additional sport and educational institutions joined along the project life. In Romania we involved over 1000 people (students, teachers, parents and sports enthusiasts) in various project activities, from workshops with teachers and students, to sports events. Not Only fair Play project has helped raise students and teachers awareness about the importance of sport in schools as a means to promote social inclusion and to promote ethical issues. It has also showed that sport activities can become a fundamental educational tool by developing students’ self-confidence, creating socialisation opportunities and encouraging mutual understanding among different cultures. The project has highlighted the importance of cooperation between physical education teachers and teachers of other subjects. It has encouraged teachers to work together by providing useful tips and links as to how to integrate physical movement into various subject areas: languages, arts, geography, history, mathematics, science and social studies. The project valorises the role that the universal language of sport can play in achieving social inclusion, equal opportunities and tolerance

Sports means psychological development: self-esteem, tolerance, equal opportunities. Physical education and sport contribute to maintaining and strengthening health, increasing physical and intellectual capacity, physical and moral harmonious development of children and youth, among them the formation of healthy habits work and life. Physical Education through Sport is just one example of how we can achieve a good quality education for the individual and society. Project teachers involved, received the workshops in a positive manner, they appreciated the fact that physical education and sport school discipline represent an important discipline in the students’ curriculum. Teachers appreciated very much the project initiative and the multitude of resources provided. The toolkits have been very well welcomed as useful resources both for the professional act of teaching, but also for the personal development. The toolkits have been appreciated from the very good way of structuring the content, easy and free access, easy to read and concise content, availability in more languages (teachers did not mentioned that the fact that the links are not in the national language can cause a barrier in discovering the content). Participants appreciated also the fact that the project bring together teachers from different disciplines and make them collaborate for a common purpose.

The physical education discipline should have an appreciative evaluation system in school, which motivate, stimulate and encourages. Students should be familiarized with the winning satisfaction and the empathy lived during matches. Physical education should not be understood by students as a performance, more a healthy and way of live. During the physics education and sport at class should be promoted less difficult exercises that can inhibit the student, the level of difficulty should be applied based on each type of student. Physical education and sports activities are set differently on education cycles, depending on the age and requirements to ensure development, and increase body resistance strengthening of children and youth. Not only fair Play project helped us to create an opportunity for teachers of sport and other disciplines to collaborate and include sport in the students’ lives at a different level and from a different perspective. The sports events in which the students have been involved raised their attraction to sports as a mean of joy and health.

The project is a very good educational resource. The toolkit gives a solid support to school managers interested in the harmonious development of the personality of the children and youth as to why sports education is important and how interlinked it is with the overall development of an educated person. The illustrations of methodologies and strategies used in sports offer good tips and ideas for the teaching and learning of foreign languages. The best practice illustrations offer a wide range of possibilities of intervention and pedagogies transferable to my own teaching practice. The toolkit materials are very diverse and issue many of the element each teacher should bear in mind, like the fact that the ethics of sports is important for students when they have to write an original essay and avoid plagiarism; the team spirit so basic in sports is also a value relevant in learning a foreign language when the speaker of a foreign language has to integrate in a host country; the element of cultural adaptability is another component that is specific to both sports education and any other education.
