Description of the initiatives:
The initiative was organized by Sébastien CAROFF and Arnaud CAMBRONNE (teachers) and by 25 students from Year 12 from the « Passion sport » class.
After they realize that less and less people were coming to the high school sport association, students from the « Passion sport » class decided to organize a sporting raid, open to anyone from the school.
The preparation of the event took place on the school ground. Every Thursday afternoon, for many months, the students divided between them what they needed to do to put on this sporting event :
- administrative procedures,
- safety (aid kit, volunteers at every dangerous crossroads…),
- work on the grant, safety, budget and communication files.
The students also had to work on the diffusion of the event. They multiplied the communication tools such as posters stuck on the walls, flyers handed out after school, a presentation of the event in every class by two students. All that work rallied pupils and students from different classes and ages (36 high school and technical and technological high school pupils and 20 BTS students).
The sporting raid took place in the Parc des Gayeulles, near Jeanne d'Arc high school. It gathered more than 50 participants, each of them was very happy to discover and practise bike and run, orienteering, archery and mini golf.
