Liège
Sport:

Aims:
promotion of social inclusion and prevention of early school leaving through sport
Description of the initiatives:
Organised every year by “Collège Sainte-Véronique” in Liège, Cycl’eau is more than a trip. It is an adventure, a challenge proposed to the fourth year students. It is a 250 kilometres journey on bicycle, on flatland along waterways and the sea.
During four days, those 15-16 year old students will cross bucolic landscapes under the sun (or the rain); breath seaside air; take a step away, with friends, from daily life.
Cycl’eau helps discover the student we do not know, discover their physical and moral abilities. This journey will be indelibly printed in their memory.
The challenge: about 250 kilometres on bike (for all types of bike) in four days, on flatland. Itinerary along waterways and on the seaside (in Flanders and the Netherlands).

Cycl’eau is also:

- A team in the nature (with sun, sometimes rain…)
- Smiles, tired faces, the occasional injury…
- Flat tyres and repairs
- Activities every night at the hostel (games, pastoral activities, dances…)
- Cultural visits (during steps)
- Discovery of one’s physical and moral abilities
- New acquaintances, new friends.
