Description of the initiatives:
Omnia offers for its students the possibility to choose the individual sport learning pathway. The main idea of this individual learning pathway is to support students who are talented in sports and who are practicing on a top level. Practicing and participating in competitions give students study credits and the learning program is made flexible for them, allowing the students to concentrate both on sport and on school work. These credits normally compensate for some basic theoretical studies and thus give the students more time to concentrate on the sports.
There is a list of criteria according to which the students are selected to this learning path. Practicing and competing on a top level nationally or internationally normally guarantees the possibility to join the learning path. If this criteria is not fully met, but the student practices actively some sport, he/she may get some credits from this and his/her skills may be recognised via the system of skills recognition.
