Description of the initiatives:
Active Tourism Association Trascau (TAT) is a social entrepreneurship, non profit organisation, created with the support of Civitas Foundation for Civil Society. The foundation, and aims are identifying, initiating, supporting and implementing projects and programs that contribute to the sustainable development of the area in the context of promoting economic, Trascau social and initiatives in the social economy and community. To achieve this the association organises cultural programs and events to promote the area, sports equipment rental services for recreational use or negotiating the territory, setting associative forms and creating local and regional networks to facilitate sustainable economic development.
Paragliding

The traditional paragliding festival this year is organised within Spiritfest together with MuresFly Sports Club. The festival aims to organise a large number of flying paragliding events, to be operated in an organised and safe manner. During the festival we expect the participation of over 300 riders coming from all over the world. Tourists in the area regardless of where they are located, or of the activity that takes place will have the opportunity to admire the multitude and variety of paragliders, the show offeres. Paragliding Festival will offer a unique insight. Spiritfest, organised the entire event.
Rimetea Climbing Open is a rock climbing competition, held annually in the village of Rimetea, Alba, which brings together some of the best climbers in the country.
Because this year celebrates 10 years since the project began, RICO, decided to celebrate with a festival. To do this they changed the RICO Open structure which involves a total of 30 new routes in climbing RiFest Festival. So that everything is a festive occasion, this year we will work with SpiritFest to promote and bring together the drift sports that can be practiced in Rimetea!
The contest was initiated in 2006 by a group of enthusiasts of this sport, the desire to promote and escalate to provide an organised framework in which participants improve their climbing techniques, and create an opportunity for those who encounter I love nature, especially mountains and rock.
Each year, Rimetea Climbing Open brings together about 300 friends from all over the country, to participate in the competition, or to enjoy nature and the atmosphere around the competition.
It`s a small track for bicycles, built on a small area of land and is a route with curves and smoothed opposed to packed earth and destined be used without pedaling. The name comes from pumping motion using the upper body to maintain speed around the track without pedaling.
Competition from Rimetea, during the period May 1 to 3 SpiritFest will aim inauguration of the new route, meant to be one of the longest routes of its kind in the country. Route will evolve in this state using bike riders and enthusiasts, until it becomes a monster of Romanian pump track.
The competition will take place on land outside the village in nature and in a magical landscape. The competition will be elimimator for two competitors at the start and the first to finish will qualify. Prizes worth 5000 lei will be awarded for the three age categories and the top three awarded will qualify.
