CASE STUDY

The Context:
I started Karate in 2005. My father used to be a sportsman and always motivated me and my sister for a sport. I have chosen karate because I was with photos of my father on the walls with many medals from competitions. I am also doing karate at a club, my club supported me too. They provide me equipment, trainer and place. I was chosen to y school because I am a good sportswoman. I passed a really difficult test and practice to enter my school.
In our country the most popular sport is football but in a few years time many amateur sports such as wrestling, karate, taekwondo and etc. became important and many places for these sport were built and the ministry of Sport send experienced trainers to cities and supports us for international competitions.
Balancing Sport and Education:
I practice 2 hours a day. and I study hard for my classes. I must be carefull and well organized because I am often abroad for national and international karate championships. I do karate for about 10 years and I won a gold medal at Turkey Karate Championship in 2015.
I was at 6th rank at World Karate Championship in 2012, a silver medal at Turkey Karate Championship in 2011.
I am a member of karate national team, a sportswoman in a karate club and a university student. It is really difficult to cope with but I could manage.
Future Perspectives:
I 'd like to continue representing my country in the world competitions. and want to be a well known karate woman in the world. I want to be Physical Education Teacher and train new champions.
