CASE STUDY

The Context:
I have been train rowing /canoeing/ since 2012. About the opportunity to train rowing I knew from some of my classmates and the coaches from the club, who presented the sport at school. My active training began with the support of my parents and coaches of sports club canoeing "Bdin 77" - Vidin.
In overall, the sport base of my current school, at which I study for the first year, is good, but it lacks an internal gymnasium, in which to play during the winter season.
Physical education for me is an entertaining subject, in which we can have some rest from the lessons and have fun.
In Bulgaria, young people are not encouraged enough to go for active sports. There is no consistent policy to inform young people. In my case if my parents did not motivate me, I would not start training.
Balancing Sport and Education:
I train every day and in the summer we even have workouts two times a day. This in no way interferes with my results at school, which are very good. After the training I study for as long as necessary to prepare for the next day, sometimes three - four hours.
In 2013 I participated in the MiniOlimpic- border Olympics between Bulgaria and Romania and I won the silver medal. In 2015 in the State Individual Championship in Plovdiv with my teammates we became first - we won gold medal in the girls' kayak four 500 m.
The time I spend on sports, training, sometimes creates difficulties for me in implementing the tasks, given to me at school and have to study till very late in the evening after training. But for now it does not affect my grades. I do not think, however, that without sports my grades would be better. Sports taught me discipline and how to rationally organize my time.
Future Perspectives:
I am 14 years old and I am still considering my future. I have many goals, some may be difficult to achieve. For now besides sports, I study in a vocational school in the field of tourism. I see my future as an organizer in tour agency or in the field of tourist animation. I do not plan to stop my active training in sport.
