Objectives of activities carried out:
The Phase 1 foresees capitalizing of success stories and best practices. It is based on the selection of best practices at transnational level contributing to the promotion of awareness of the importance of sport at school, to the social inclusion at school through sport, to an ethical approach to sport, to a better knowledge of all sports.
The selected best practices will be used as reference and inspiration.

The results of this activity are:
• The creation of a network of teachers and students in the 10 project countries
• The collection of case studies of students who successfully managed to balance their school work with their passion for sport
• The collection of best practices project and initiatives for raising awareness of the importance of sport in upper-secondary schools.
Description of activities carried out:
Under this activity FDCBPCS has conducted the following activities:
- translated all management forms for the implementation of the activities under Phase 1 in order to work with the schools in the national language;
- translated information about the project, its aims, expected results in Bulgarian too;
- contacted various Bulgarian schools with information about the project for the purposes of involving them in the project activities. The contacts were made by the project manager and the project coordinator, appointed from the Foundation. The contacts were made in several ways: conducting face to face meetings with headmasters and teachers; publishing information about the project and invitation for the schools to participate in the project in targeted online directories and bulletins; sending informative mailings to schools;
- translated management forms for collection of case studies of students who successfully managed to balance their school work with their passion for sport and contacting teachers to involve them and students in this activity;
- searched for project initiatives over the internet;
- research of project compendiums from different EU funded programmes;
- gathering the necessary amount of case studies.
Outcomes:
Under Phase 1 FDCPBCS has achieved the following results so far:

Schools involved: 8
School directors: 8
Physical education teachers: 12
Teachers: 10
Parents: 121
Students: 362
7 initiatives have been identified and forms of description are filled in and uploaded in the project portal.
12 case studies uploaded on the portal.
Evaluation of the work undertaken:
The work under this Phase 1 is evaluated as satisfactory.
