Description of the initiatives:
Wings for Life is an international not-for-profit spinal cord research foundation. The mission is to find a cure for spinal cord injury. It fund world-class scientific research and clinical trials around the globe aimed at healing the injured spinal cord.
Enjoy the picturesque landscape with fields of canola while running on the Wings for life World Run course in Bucharest. Starting from the national road DN3-DN3A, in the Pantelimon area, participants will run east towards Fetesti.
Participants taking part in the Romanian Wings for Life World Run will experience a friendly tarmac track with low level difference in a green and peaceful scenery at the outskirts of Bucharest.
Runners will take advantage of the gentle temperatures of about 20-25°C as a daily average in May for Romania and also of a daytime start.
This event is also open for wheelchair participants and its main aim is to raise funds for healing the injured spinal cord.
