Description of the initiatives:
This initiative organised by the city of Brussels was addressed to 6th primary school (11-12 years old) pupils and aimed to tight sport and healthy nutrition. 1440 pupils from several schools were invited to an event at the National stadium (“Stade Roi Baudouin”) where they participated in sport activities and visited a “health village”. Besides sport activities (racing, javelin throw, shot put, long jump…), students were informed about various topics such as the importance of healthy nutrition, how to brush one’s teeth, the danger of smoking, fair play…
This initiative seems to be yearly.
