Description of the initiatives:
Liikkuva Amis (Moving Student) -projects aim is to increase student’s participation in developing the educational environment and to test how to integrate exercise in to teaching of professional subjects. The aim is also to fulfill the Welfare of the Learning Environment model from the perspective of promoting physical activity.
Moving student is a model that shows how it is possible to increase exercise possibilities throughout the school day in vocational education. It is based on an optional course where students plan together activities that will increase physical activity in school environment. Season by season the course will give new ideas and will support physically active environment in school. Moving student offers good practices for how to add exercise for school’s everyday life using student’s participation.
