Aims:

Description of the initiatives:
The program was prepared and implemented by the local authorities in Chojnice. It is one of the winners in a competition organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs under the auspices of the Security Council of Sports Events that is called “I support safely”.

Institutions involved:
• Police Headquarters in Chojnice
• Court in Chojnice
• House of Culture together with the Theatre in Chojnice
• Center Park Chojnice
• Urban Sports Club "Chojniczanka 1930"

The project is aimed at lower secondary school students (200 students aged 13-16) and upper secondary schools (200 pupils aged 16-19 years) of the Chojnice region. The aim of the project is to promote sport and physical activity among school children and the formation of habits of ethical behavior at sports events.

Project phases:
1. workshops for young people run by:
- Police officers in order to familiarize young people with legal consequences for inappropriate behavior in stadiums.
- Athletes (discussion on different behavior of fans that help or hinder the sport struggles)
- Sports psychologist (What are the interrelationships of athletes and fans?)
2. attending sports events by the students in order to experience sports emotions and compare the behavior of the different sports fans.
3. the performance "The court over the fan" prepared by the local theater, which aim is to make the youth aware of the social consequences associated with the perception of aggressive fans
4. photo Contest for the students, which aims to show the positive emotions on the faces of the fans. The photo exhibition available for the residents of the city
5. School Competition to develop a Code of Fan and come up with a slogan to promote fair play in sport. The winning works were widely promoted in schools and sports organizations in the Chojnice region
6. interschool sports tournaments (football, volleyball, basketball and handball) and the contest for the cheering teams on the best support.

The number and variety of initiatives included in the project, combining sports action with development of ethical attitudes, allows to achieve comprehensive educational outcomes.
