Description of the initiatives:
Promoting students’ wellbeing is part of vocational education. The aim of the Work Capacity Certificate is to increase students’ knowledge, skills and motivation on taking care of their work ability already during the studies. Good working ability is the basis of the future profession as well as of endurance in daily life.
The work ability certificate contains five elements: Occupational work capacity, Physical activity that promotes functional capacity and work capacity, Health knowledge and skills, Hobbies and social activity and Strengthening of occupational work capacity. The extent of the elements is a total of 9 ecvet points. A student can collect competence to the certificate from the studies or from hobbies and leisure activities.
The Work Ability Certificate is performed during the vocational studies. For the employer, the Work Ability Certificate gives information about job applicant’s knowledge, skills and motivation about their work ability.
