Description of the initiatives:
Liikkeelle.net is sports campaign for the personnel in vocational education. It is arranged every autumn and is a web based campaign. During the years, sports campaign has brought personnel together to collect exercise minutes or steps or both. Different vocational education organisations pile up teams that will try to collect as much exercise activities as possibly during September and October. Team spirit is raised by weekly challenges.
The sports campaign’s aim for participants is to accumulate weekly exercise at least to the limit of the Finnish health-enhancing physical activity recommendation. That includes 2 hours and 30 minutes of exercise that improves aerobic fitness and 2 times exercise that improves muscular fitness per week. The aim is fulfilled when a person exercises less than half an hour a day.
